FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What types of DNA tests do you offer? We offer a variety of DNA tests, including:

• Legal Paternity Tests (Court-Admissible)

• Non-Legal Paternity Tests (Peace of Mind)

• Maternity Tests

• Sibling DNA Tests

• Grandparentage Tests

• Other Relationship Tests (e.g., aunt/uncle testing)

2. How does the mobile DNA testing service work?

We come to you! Our mobile collection team will schedule an appointment at your home, office, or a location of your choice. We collect the DNA samples using a painless cheek swab and send them to a certified laboratory for processing.

3. How long does it take to receive my results?

Most test results are available within 2-3 business days after the lab receives the samples. You will be notified once your results are ready.

4. Are my results confidential?

Yes! We take privacy seriously. Your test results are only shared with the individuals authorized on your consent form. We do not release information to third parties without your written permission.

5. Can the test results be used in court?

Yes, if you choose a legal paternity test, the results are admissible in court. We follow strict chain-of-custody procedures to ensure the test meets legal requirements.

6. What is the difference between a legal and a non-legal paternity test?

A legal paternity test follows strict identification and sample-handling procedures, making the results court-admissible.

A non-legal (peace of mind) test is for personal use and does not require identity verification but provides the same accuracy.

7. How much does a DNA test cost?

The price varies depending on the type of test. Please contact us at dljjoydna@gmail.com for specific pricing.

8. Do I need the mother’s DNA for a paternity test?

No, a paternity test can be conducted with only the child and alleged father. However, including the mother’s DNA can help strengthen the results.

9. What if the alleged father is unavailable?

If the alleged father cannot be tested, we can explore alternative options like grandparent, sibling, or avuncular (aunt/uncle) testing to determine biological relationships.

10. Can I get a refund if I change my mind?

Yes, we offer a 100% money-back guarantee within 30 days, provided the sample has not been processed by the lab. Please refer to our Refund Policy for more details.

11. Do you accept walk-ins, or is an appointment required?

We are a mobile service, so we operate by appointment only. Contact us to schedule a convenient time and location for sample collection.

12. Can a DNA test be done without the father’s knowledge?

For a legal paternity test, consent from all tested parties is required. However, a non-legal (peace of mind) test can be performed with samples voluntarily provided by the individuals involved.

13. What should I do to prepare for the DNA test?

No special preparation is needed. However, we recommend avoiding food, drinks, smoking, or chewing gum for 30 minutes before the sample collection.

14. Do you offer same-day results?

We do not offer same-day results, but we provide expedited testing options for an additional fee. Contact us for details on faster turnaround times.

15. How do I receive my results?

Results can be delivered via the testing labs web portal or mail depending on your preference.
